Lumosity Lumosity is a site with all sorts of activities and games to help improve your brains health and performance. First you take a little test that assess how well you take care of your brain on a daily basis, and then do a series of activities to assess your creativity, response time, problem solving etc. Then you can play games that help you improve in the areas you scored the lowest. Unfortunately you have to pay for an account to access all of the sites resources, but they do have trial accounts which is what I used.

BrainPOP BrainPOP is an interactive educational site where teachers and students can go to find interactive lessons, videos, quizzes and other things about all different subjects. Once again you have to have an account. BrainPOP educators is free though!

Edutopia Edutopia is the site for the George Lucas Educational Foundation. It's slogan is "What Works in Education" so it just has a bunch of articles and videos of teachers and teaching strategies that educators are using that are working.

NASA Education This is NASA's Educational site. It has a lot of things about space education.

HowStuffWorks This is a Discovery Channel site that is basically an encyclopedia for how everything works. There is also a show on the discovery channel called howstuffworks. I think it would be really useful as a science teacher. And a good resource for my students to use.

Sporcle Sporcle is a quiz game site with all types of quizzes, from literature to movies, video games, and company logos. Because it has so many types of quizzes you could use it for almost any class. It could be used as an assessment for a subject or just a way to have fun or as a warm up activity.

Institution for Creation Research is a Bible based scientific website that investigates the idea of creation in regards to biblical and scientific accuracy.

Reasons to Believe is another bible based science site but it covers a lot of other areas besides creation and evolution. Their missions is to show that science and the bible are allies not enemies.
